Meet Our Sponsors

The L.I.F.E. Sponsorship Program began in 2014 and it is with the support of our devoted sponsors that we have awarded 31 merit-based Sponsored L.I.F.E. Scholarships to deserving college students with lupus across the nation!

On behalf of the L.I.F.E. Team and all our scholarship winners, thank you for the continued support of all our generous sponsors!

JEAN BASSETT

Jean Bassett from Arizona has been a loyal sponsor of scholarships since L.I.F.E.’s President & Co-Founder, Jodi Norton, initiated the Foundation’s first Sponsorship Program in 2002.  When L.I.F.E. began seeking Sponsors for scholarships, Jean was one of our first to sponsor a student. Since the start of the program, Jean has sponsored Jena Trowbridge (2014), Rebecca Mighell (2015), and Corrin Ann Stines (2016). This year, Jean graciously sponsored Caroline Boccuzzi from Stamford, CT for the 2017 L.I.F.E. Awareness Award. The winner of this special award is typically selected by the end of May—in recognition of national Lupus Awareness Month.

The L.I.F.E. Awareness Award furthers L.I.F.E.’s twofold mission: To award scholarships to college students that are overcoming the limitations of lupus—showing courage, strength and determination, and to spread lupus awareness. Through this L.I.F.E. Awareness Award, more scholarships will be provided in areas less represented or states that have never received a L.I.F.E. Scholarship. This is a great way for the L.I.F.E. Team to spread awareness of this frequently misunderstood chronic, life-threatening, autoimmune disease. Currently, lupus is the least-recognized and least-funded major disease to affect Americans!
