2019 L.I.F.E Scholarship Recipients - Congratulations!

Every year the L.I.F.E. Scholarship Committee has the difficult task of selecting the L.I.F.E. Scholarship recipients from a group of outstanding and highly qualified finalists. Our winners, courageous college students with lupus, are chosen to receive the greatest gift—The Gift of Knowledge. They stand tall with self-worth, and confidence. NOW they feel heard and valued, not judged and dismissed by others.

All L.I.F.E. Scholarship winners demonstrate outstanding academic merit, service to their community, and the will to continue their success – in spite of living with a chronic illness. They have used their battle with lupus as fuel to create a future filled with excellence. Merit-based scholarships help build the leaders of tomorrow, while we continue to spread much-needed awareness of the cruel mystery of lupus. 

Our L.I.F.E. Scholarship winners continue to provide proof that students with lupus can attend college, graduate, become pillars in their community, and follow their dreams and aspirations. L.I.F.E. helps a spectrum of individuals with lupus across the country. This year marks one of the most diverse groups of students to date.

L.I.F.E. Awareness Awards are only given to the first student to attend college in a state not represented by L.I.F.E. Three of our 2019 winners received this award—Greta Ziegler (ND), Sitara Lewis (WA), and Olivia Dodd (IA). It is L.I.F.E.’s goal to represent all states in an effort to spread awareness of lupus and the Foundation across the U.S. L.I.F.E. is proud to announce all 12 of our 2019 L.I.F.E.
